TUesday Lounge: Citizen Science

I recently participated in a roundtable discussion on Citizen Science at the first TUesday Lounge event of the year. The panel comprised other experts such as Dilek Fraisl from IIASA, Fabian Dembski from Urban Innovation Vienna and TalTech, and Christian Peer from future.lab at TU Wien. The session began with a keynote by Beate Guba and was moderated by Charlotte Reiff from TU Wien Bibliothek Vernetzung und Innovation.

The discussion covered various topics, including institutionalization and the definition of "citizens" in the context of Citizen Science. The conversation was characterized by lively exchanges, reflecting the ongoing development of this field. It provided valuable insights into the role of Citizen Science in driving sustainability transformations.

Overall, it is my impression that the event served as a platform for meaningful dialogue and knowledge sharing among experts in the field, and I enjoyed being part of it.
