Open Science: why and how?

20.10.2021

Open Science aims at making research processes and research results - including methods, processes, research data and publications - as accessible as possible. This is intended to intensify transparency, reusability and exchange with industry and society. However, this is not always so easy....

In the workshop "Open Science - why and how?" on Oct. 20 at Uni Graz, we discussed the following questions, among others:

  •    What is meant by Open Science/Scholarship/Research?
  •     For which problems in "traditional" science can Open Science offer a solution?
  •     What is the benefit (for me) of Open Science?
  •     Which Open Science practices can be used in everyday research?
  •     Which infrastructures and tools for Open Science exist?
